97x90 H22 using Skunk2 Pro 3 Cams – Pistons hit valves

 

The piston starts at TDC (compression stroke) then travels down to BDC and you can see the exhaust valve open. As the piston comes back to TDC (exhaust stroke) the valve doesn't close in time & the piston hits the valve.

 

Because this is a VTEC engine, you wouldn't find out until the first time the engine went into VTEC!

This is at a 100 degree cam center on both intake and exhaust (with cam gears at 0)
